The Star of Bethlehem
was a series of astronomical events, primarily the planet Jupiter's triple conjunction with the star Regulus and later a close conjunction with Venus, occurring between 3 BC and 2 BC, claiming this "starry dance" fulfilled all nine characteristics of the star described in the Gospel of Matthew, potentially representing the conception of Jesus in September 3 BC and his birth around June 2 BC.
